| Greetings! I began with Stone Circles and got carried away up another path, from Neolithic to Medieval, Gothic to Cathedrals, Castles, Dolmens, Standing Stones, Wells. It is all too easy to forget the ways of the Ancients but Cyberworld allows us to gather them together and appreciate them all! Enjoy! |

Many moons ago I was taken to Stonehenge as a child. A while later I began to look at what Stonehenge meant. It opened a whole new world and went off into unexplored paths – well, some ancient monuments are off untrodden paths and it is euphoric discovering them and bringing them all together, understanding….. Having saluted Julian Cope, the Arch Dru’ himself for introducing “The Modern Antiquarian” I too, like many was greatly inspired to get out there and touch base with the vibes of our ancestors in this Cyberworld of ours as it is all too easy to lose touch. I mosey around, mainly with my long-suffering boyfriend in tow - trekking for miles over fields, wooded valleys and err quagmires, armed with my maps from Megalith and Google Earth and shooting angles that my camera wasn’t capable of, or I wasn’t, as the case may be, armed with my copy of Cornovia. I hit the big four OH! a little while ago; but age is immaterial as it is only a number. I would describe myself as “head in the clouds feet on the ground” ~ it works for me. I still have to plough through 42 photo albums, citing a possibility of sparks flying from the scanner and without what was on the computer I decided that this was my “Winter” project – Samhuinn, Alban Arthan and beyond, slightly shifting from stone circles to a menagerie of monuments in Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire also – thank you and ENJOY- as I have done and long may it remain so! I thank you for looking!
